Royals are little league baseball champs

The Kansas City Royals were crowned the Central Majors champions on June 19 after a 13-1? win over the Nationals in a two-game series. It was an exciting season for the Royals with an? undefeated 21-0? record going into the finals.

The Royals continued their streak with an opening-round win against the Tigers, 8-0, and then an 8-6 win over the Athletics in order to move onto the championship series with the Nationals.

Exciting plays were made by several team members including strong pitching from Shane Lambert, Dylan Walker and Drew Parker.? Catcher Conor McGonagle and first baseman Ryan Walsh contributed as well in both the field and at the plate.? Coach Brian Roberts had a mix of 9-10 year olds and 11-12 year olds which resulted in a team strong in fielding, pitching, base running and hitting.? Players Chris Roberts, Kyle McDonald, Kyle Ally, Ryan Hartwell, Owen Gallant, and Rodrigo Freitas all contributed throughout the season and playoffs.
